Sandy Strait State School is located on a spacious tree lined environment. We have 14 classroom blocks which contain classes from Prep to Year 6. The prep classrooms are specially equipped with all the resources and fittings to run a prep school program.
Many of our classrooms are equipped with either fixed or mobile interactive whiteboards. This enables teachers and students to engage in hands on interaction and learning opportunities.
Sandy Strait is also fortunate enough to have two dedicated computer hubs. The first bank of thirty computers is located in the Library in a zone aptly named 'The Cybrary'. The students also have access to a bank of Laptop Computers which can be used in class time or during lunchtimes to complete genuine school work or homework requirements.
Sandy Strait State School has a state-of-the-art resource centre and a hall that was completed in 2010. These facilities enable students, teachers, parents and the school community to come together in comfort for assemblies, performing arts activities and special celebrations etc.
