The Special Education Program at Sandy Strait State School provides a range of services to support students with disabilities, their teachers and their families under the Educational Adjustment Program (EAP).
Our purpose is to ensure that students with disabilities are provided with a curriculum which is rigorous, relevant and meaningful, and which will help them to develop the understanding and skills needed to be happy, independent and productive members of their community.
Broadly speaking, our services are delivered within a three tiered model of support which caters for the diverse needs of our clientele. We believe that in Special Education there is no room for a 'one size fits all' attitude.
